Overview

The E-Mon D-Mon wireless base station includes the software, the first wireless data collector (WDC), a dedicated PC and the field start-up service.

WDC (Wireless Data Collector) Features

The WDC is a reliable, fully bi-directional gateway between the internet/backbone network and the E-Mon wireless mesh network. It can support multiple meter types on the same network. The WDC provides simple remote configuration of the wireless devices and accurately transmits the energy data via the Ethernet from the wireless network to E-Mon Energy meter reading software for billing and analysis.

• Communicates with 915 MHz transceivers (typically hourly.)

• Connects to computer via Ethernet.

• IP Addressable for communication on intranet or internet.

• Reads up to 1,000 meters.

• Stores downloaded interval data in memory.

• FCC Approved.

How it Works

• Wireless software retrieves data from WDC where it is placed in a folder in various formats including CSV format.

• E-Mon Energy is programmed to retrieve the data from the folder.

• Once the interval data is downloaded, E-Mon Energy allows users to create profiles, bills, etc. - the same as if the data was received from an IDR or smart meter.
